Q. How long does the buying process take?
Assuming you have obtained your pre-approval for a loan and selected a Realtor, the next steps in the home purchase process will be: making a purchase offer, negotiating details, reviewing disclosure documents, executing the contract, getting an appraisal and inspections, doing a final walk-through, reviewing the closing disclosure, and going to the actual closing. Typically this process could take up to 30-45 days.

The list price of a home is always negotiable. Before you jump into the negotiation process, you should do your research of the local market, the seller’s particular circumstances, and so on. A good Realtor will accomplish this and more for you.
